Why a subscription rather than a lifetime licence?

Because Shale tracks three things that never stop moving: the markets, macOS, and twelve still-young modules. A lifetime licence would mean re-charging for every major version, or letting the app quietly rot.

The subscription funds the maintenance. Billed yearly, Shale works out at €8 a month and Shale Trade at €15 — the price of one coffee a week for the tool you open first every morning.

If you stop, you keep everything.

The app goes read-only: your history stays readable and exportable, nothing is deleted, nothing is held back. And a refund is available within thirty days of a first payment, no justification needed.
